What Police Departments Need are Policy Breakers!

But it's very rare for a Police Commissioner to do it. Today's guest was just such a person; Norman Stamper, a retired career cop who decided enough-is-enough and took his department and many of his officers to task and wrote a book entitled "Breaking Rank: A Top Cop's Expose of the Dark Side of American Policing."

In addition to author Stamper now writes a blog for Huffington Post.

Most cops and ex-cops who write books publish lukewarm works aimed only at admonishing the citizen or loaded with spiritual or unrelated irrelavent information.

This is host Chris Stevenson's 3rd on-air interview with an ex-cop. He previously did a TV/Youtube interview with ex-Police Officer Theodore Kirkland on his hard-hitting life story "Spirit and Soul: Odessy of a Black Man in America," and a 12/15/94 interview with former LAPD officer Tom Owen on his book "Lying Eyes: The truth behind the corruption & brutality behind the LAPD."
