Disadvantages can go many ways. They can either cripple a person mentally, physically and spiritually or the opposite. Taking a disadvantage or disability and making a choice to not let it be a impediment in your life can be arduous and lonely. However, the rewards along the way to self-improvement can be magical. What this requires is a definitive choice and a process.

Our guest today, Scott Sonnon will discuss what his process was (and continues to be) from coming from very humble beginnings of a learning disability, poverty, debilitating joint disease and obesity to being a world champion martial artist, successful trainer, educator, businessman and loving father and husband.

Scott Sonnon is a martial arts expert, fitness coach, and wellness speaker. He has worked with movie stars, UFC mixed martial artists, and professional athletes. He was ranked by Black Belt Magazine as one of "The Six Most Influential Martial Artists of the 21st Century" in 2010. Recently, Scott was appointed as Trainer to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Unit, Instructor for the Federal Officer Law Enforcement Training Center and Instructor for the New York Police Department Academy. Finally, Scott was a three time gold medalist at the 2010 World Martial Arts Games. Scott is also a member of MENSA international and has been a keynote speaker for the High IQ organization.
