The Brain organizes how we perceive the world. In both therapy and performance, this organiztion can be productive or detrimental. Fortunately, good therapists, trainers and coaches can assist the person in front of them to coordinate themselves to eliminate pain and improve performance.

We will discuss how trainers, coaches, and therapists need to act as INTERFACERS between the world of neuroscience and their activity, and how to find the relevant resources and apply them in an organized manner. Being able to navigate through the voluminous amount of information seems almost impossible. However, it becomes an easier journey if we have a person who is the rare combination of a guide/librarian/sherpa/curator.

Our guest today, is Karen Lines, RMT who is registered massage therapist in Victoria, British Columbia graduating in 2009. Before that Karen worked as a dialysis technician for 5 years before beginning her manual therapy career. She is also a moderator on and recently spoke at the Annual General meeting of the Massage Therapy Association of British Columbia on the "Origins of Pain."
