He listens to guided meditations with his mom, but had never heard created by a child, so he decided to create on. He has only done one so far, but is working on creating more.  Tzaddik is a 1st grader this year. His favorite subject at school is science. He likes turtles, going to Lake Michigan, and eating pizza with his brothers. He has completed four 5k races so far and is doing the next one in October. Each 5k race helps to raise money to help other kids live better lives.  Tune in for this interview with Tzaddik to learn the story behind the making of this tape, which was completely his idea! And to make it even more special I'm doing this show with Jyude Albright.  Jyude and I have done many shows together on the Voice of Change Radio Program.   In addition, she co-hosts her own show here at Blog talk Radio called Awareness Changes Truth. Today, we will be talking in general about the dedication and commitment of a parent or other adult who supports and nurtures children to step forward and really shine. As I began researching about children and youth making a difference in the world, I was astonished to learn that very young children, like 4, 5 and 6 years of age are doing remarkable things!  One child, a four year old boy reached out and gave his birthday gift of $ 20 bill to a homeless man and when he was five founded his own organization to help the homeless!  And just this week, I received a remarkable meditation tape made by a 6 year old to help children have a good first day at school!   And after reading about these extraordinary children....I knew that behind EACH one... was that special parent or special adult who listened, supported and nurtured those children.  So, today we are going to be talking about such parents and what they do to nourish children in a way that allows them to bring forth their unique passions and shine at such a young age.   Jyude Allbright' is an NLP Master Practitioner, Certified Prevention Professional, Access Consciousness Bars Facilitator, spiritual messenger and teacher. Her priority is to spread consciousness to those ready to accept it.    She can be reached at www.jyudeallbright.com. As I glanced through, I knew that these were the children that formed 25% of my first grade class at that time. These children were characterized as those that were here to "break up" the "systems"  that were in place at that time, which were not working for the good of all, such as the educational system, health system and political system.  In the classroom, they were the children that wanted to be part of the solution to any problem that came up in the classroom. They did not respond well when strict rules attempted to be enforced upon them. After the Indigo Children, the Crystal Children appeared. These children were characterized as having magnetic personalities, highly affectionate and very much connected to animals, nature and sensitivity to the feelings of people. SO my question is, "Are the amazing acts we are witnessing by extraordinary children today, the results of these Indigo and Crystal children, living life?" AND "What are these children showing us, about how to live?"  Is there a lesson for all of us here?  These are some of the questions we'll play with today on Youth Speak!  Join us. Call in and share your views!  SHARON ANN WIKOFF is a credentialed elementary teacher, writer, radio host and motivational speaker.  She’s brought children and young people to the air in private classes as well as the public school system. She’s facilitated Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way program numerous times, nurturing individual’s creativity. She is passionate about living an authentic live and nurturing the gifts of others. 00:19:00YouthSpeaknoYouth Speak,Sharon Ann Wikoff,Indigo Children,Crystal Children, amazing childrenWelcome to Youth Speak.  As I was reflecting on the stories that have been shared this week on Youth Speak, I had a flashback.  Many years ago, my niece introduFast Food Free: Healthier People, Better Worldhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/youthspeak/2014/09/04/fast-food-free-healthier-people-better-worldYouthhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/youthspeak/2014/09/04/fast-food-free-healthier-people-better-world/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/youthspeak/2014/09/04/fast-food-free-healthier-people-better-worldThu, 04 Sep 2014 16:00:00 GMTFast Food Free: Healthier People, Better WorldWelcome to Youth Speak.  Today my guest is Koa Halpern.  He is 16 year old boy and resides in Denver Colorado.  In addition to being interested in astronomy, rocketry, violin-playing and art, he has been interested in opposing fast-food companies from the age of eight. Fast Food Free, my longest-lasting and most rewarding project, is a nonprofit that has convinced thousands of people to stop eating at many major fast-food chains for two weeks. This project has led to me presenting at several major venues, including Natural Products Expo West and the largest gathering of health-food suppliers in the country. Even after eight years, Fast Food Free is still going strong. Koa became interested in fast food after an exchange student asked where the nearest fast-food restaurant was immediately after she arrived in America. This made me wonder why fast food was so popular around the world. As I began to research fast food, I quickly realized that it was deeply unhealthy, both for the people who eat it and for the earth it comes from. Soon after, I started Fast Food Free, a nonprofit that became more successful than I had hoped. Soon, thousands of people had taken a two-week pledge to not eat at major fast-food restaurants. I have spent much of the last several years trying to “get the word out” about the adverse effects of fast food.   00:28:00YouthSpeaknoYouthSpeak,Voice of Change,Sharon Ann Wikoff,Koa Halpern,FastFoodFree.orgWelcome to Youth Speak.  Today my guest is Koa Halpern.  He is 16 year old boy and resides in Denver Colorado.  In addition to being interested in astronomy, roMore Amazing Children! Amazing Projects! Amazing Stories! As I began to research about children who were making a difference, I was overwhelmed with the difference that SO many children were making. The story I heard over and over again, is that as a young child, they saw something one day that caused them to stop and ask about the situation or person. They proceeded to take a deeper look into the situation and what they learned or saw changed the direction of their life forever. Many  of these children are still children and yet they have built a company, non-profit or project that is serving many people today!  For one child, it was seeing a homeless man; for another watching the garage truck day after day and for another it was wanting to bring joy to her grandmother. Each of these children questioned the status quo! And there was someone in their life to support their questioning and helped them to learn more!  In the future I hope to do some shows about the parent or adult "behind" these special children!  Tune in today to hear some more stories about amazing children! 00:24:00YouthSpeaknoSharon Ann Wikoff,Youth Speak,Voice of Change, children making a difference, amazing childrenAs I began to research about children who were making a difference, I was overwhelmed with the difference that SO many children were making.
