Today we continue our focus on Child Abuse Prevention Month - TEENS; What behaviors have you noticed in their early development? Do they seem to have difficulty making friends, suffer anxiety, assume the negative in any situation? These are distress signals of some form of abuse!!! This is the younger teen who is having trouble coping with their own biological and physical changes, but also showing some other challenging signs. They stay by themselves. When you do something they feel you are purposely trying to hurt them. They tend to get overly upset and paniced about the small things; not knowing exactly how to calm down and work out the problem. These are teens who could be dealing with the Angry Drinking Parent; Parental Mental Illness; Family Violence or much worse. Pay attention, you could seriously help them before they decide to end the problem themsleves!!
