'Its a Family Affair' -How young do children have to die before we react?

Welcome to Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio, we are here to encourage learning in a 'Family' sort of way. I hope you will invite your friends & your teens to listen in to our Monday night programs. We can begin to learn 'with' our children in how to let go of what past generations have taught us about the acts of abuse and violence, especially that which happens in our family unit. We are hoping to spark new thought in your views about these types of behaviors and what effect it has on the family as a whole. 

Tonight we are discussing the horrible truth behind our children's thoughts when they commit suicide. These days it seems they are taking their lives younger & younger. In fact the youngest I have been able to find is 8 yrs. old. What can be so terrifying in an 8 yr olds life that they feel they have nowhere to turn for help, no one who will help them, no one who will understand? How can we change this? What can we do to inspire them to believe in help & rescue, rather than think suicide is the only alternative to end their pain?

Do you feel this has anything to do with the human behaviors of violence & abuse within our family unit which we have been taught to tolerate and protect our abusers? Do they feel they cannot go outside the family unit for help? How can we as a society begin to end this tragedy of Child Suicide?
