Survivors World a welcoming broadcast of your stories. A place for both MEN and WOMEN who have been harmed by abuse to come and share their voice in a SAFE environment with others who understand their pain.

The Magdelene Laundries & Good Shepard Schools were institution supported by our govenernments through Ireland, United States, Canada and Australia. In these institutions were young women plucked out of society and sent by the courts to remain with the nuns, supposedly for the betterment of THEIR welfare. However, these were places that harbored great fear in the children.

The first thing they did was condemn them as being unfit within society. Then they took away their voice by mandating COMPLETE silence within the institutions. Some had their NAME taken away and were given another name in which they would be called throughout the remainder of their stay. There were girls who spent maybe a few months if they got lucky and family rescued them. There were other young girls who went in and were never seen or heard from again.

Tonight on Survivors World we open up the phones for these survivors. We are inviting each and everyone who has a history with these laundries to call in and share their voice. The numbers of these women will never be fully known, but we hope to generate support and awareness for those who are here today.

Magdelene Laundries & Good Shepard School Survivors we are asking you to come to our show in safety, no identity needs to be shared, but take this opportunity to share your voice and be counted as one of the many whose path in life was split in two by the invasion of the courts, society, and the laundries. Please give these ladies a warm Survivors World welcome to Butterfly Dreams Talk Radio. Our call in number 347-215-7754 is yours for the evening. Thank you.
