The MadMen are excited bring you the Video Music Box 30th Anniversary Kickoff event! This invite only, private event will be broadcast only on WYMS via LiveStream.
Join Ralph McDaniels as he celebrates Video Music Box’s 30th Anniversary with a kick-off event to highlight yearlong activities, special guest speakers, a screening of the best of VMB reel, and a panel discussion with Va$htie, Sway, Joey Bada$$, and Martha Diaz. Video Music Box (VMB), created in 1983 by Ralph McDaniels, is a 60 minute American television program/series that was the first to cater to the growing audiences of hip-hop fans.
VMB utilizes music to convey socially relevant messages; to educate; engage; entertain; and inform the community and youth. It originally aired on New York City-owned public television station WNYC-TV and was one of the most influential shows to give hip-hop/urban artists mainstream exposure.
