Dr. Jean Marie Farish interviews DJ Steel!
DJ Steel is a passionate writer who creates stories that take people on a transcendent reading experience. Known best for the Destiny trilogy written as an epic story tale and coming-of-age series for children and pre-teens, he is also working on a novel for adults. Titled The Zealot’s Eyes, DJ aspires to release it once the Destiny trilogy has been fully released to the world. Having worked as a sub-editor for 20 years, from 1991 to 2011, writing and reading stories has been his passion from a young age. His love of stories was fostered by his late mother, Veronica Joy, from a very young age. Now, through the art of story-telling, he is engaging people of all ages in something positive and imaginative.
David's latest release, Destiny's Journey is an engaging reading experience for children and pre-teens, through which they can develop a love for reading at a young age and absorb the wisdom and life lessons that DJ Steel shares through his adventurous stories. Destiny is a 12-year-old girl who lost her parents in a traumatic car accident and was confined to a wheelchair due to the accident. Young readers can learn to value life’s essential things through her story of struggle, hope, adventure, and triumph, brilliantly illustrated by Christopher Brunton.
Released in 2015, Destiny’s Dream shared Destiny's adventure through the Dream World, where she met new friends and defeated the antagonist, Maximum Mischief. In this second installment, Destiny returns to the Dream World, where she goes on an epic sea adventure with her dream friends and again comes face-to-face with the evil Maximum.
