In this live radio broadcast, Dr. Sonya Whitaker pauses to reflect on all that she was able to accomplish and learn as a direct result of her interaction with her special guests on WVON 1690 A.M. Talk of Chicago, The Voice of The Nation radio station during the week of March 29, 2021.

It was during this time frame that Dr. Whitaker interviewed a total of ten distinguished guests in four evenings. As opposed to addressing equity in education as a singular issue during the aforementioned conversations, she stretches her thinking  by addressing matters associated with hot topics such as voter suppression and the significance of Black Wall Street.

In addition, Dr. Whitaker shares with us key highlights from her conversations with two school district officials (who shared what is happening in their districts to better ensure that all students gain equitable access to a quality education), post COVID 19. Lastly, she also shares key highlights from her conversation with an Illinois school board attorney and offers suggestions as to how to reduce the likelihood of experiencing litigation as you prepare to return students to school.
