Jim Davidson is a high–altitude climber, an expedition leader, a professional speaker, and an expert on resilience.  From his 33 years of adventure and survival, Jim distills compelling stories and uplifting lessons about how we can all be more resilient.  He has climbed high mountains from Argentina to Tibet.  And, Jim was climbing Mount Everest during the massive Nepal earthquake in April 2015.  Jim authored a best-selling survival memoir, The Ledge: An Inspirational Story of Friendship and Survival.  He has shared his incredible stories and insights with CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, Smithsonian Channel, PBS and many other media outlets around the world.

  • Jim’s regular hiking partner is Jake the Wonder Dog
  • Jim has been married for 26 years and has two grown children.
  • He climbed Kilimanjaro (19,341 feet) with my daughter, in Africa
  • Jim raises money for The dZi Foundation to help with Nepal’s earthquake recovery
  • He previously worked as an environmental geologist, and also painting high-voltage electrical transmission towers!
