Bradley W. Carpentier, MD, is in private practice in Austin, Texas. He is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Dr. Carpentier completed an Internal Medicine internship at Methodist Medical Center, Dallas, and completed further study in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is fellowship trained in Pain Management at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and at Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California. He holds ACGME board certification and practices full time Chronic Pain Medicine.
His special interests include the treatment of painful neuropathic conditions using neuromodulation techniques including spinal and peripheral nerve stimulation. He has also been involved in the early proof of concept work in the novel uses of botulinum toxin for the treatment of the nociceptive pain of osteoarthritis. Dr. Carpentier has published his work in the Journal of Neuromodulation and Anesthesiology and has presented his work at a number of national and international conferences including; Toxins, The American Society of Regional Anesthesia, The American Pain Society, and the International Neuromodulation Society.
Dr. Carpentier is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the California Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association.
