The Intertribal Cultural Alliance, Inc (ITCA) shall provide assistance to all Native Americans in the state of South Dakota and those members of other tribes and around the United States. Urban Native American centers are a much needed service in the bigger communities. The services shall include economic developments, education, health; substance abuse and to promote the general welfare of all Native Americans.
ITCA is a new organization with the mission to help urban natives who need services such as referrals, computer training, arts and crafts, preserve culture through language and spirituality, operate a daycare center and treatment center, among other services. The ITCA now has a governing board that established and enforces policies for the operation of all programs and activities. All board members are interested in and supportive of services for Native Americans. Community members have input into the administration and structure of the ITCA through participating in meetings with the Board of Directors or by bringing their issues and concerns for the community before the Board.
