Perhaps, when we think of Trauma, we call to mind major traumatic experiences such as war, severe emotional, mental and physical abuse, neglect or abandonment?

What about less traumatic incidents such as, seemingly benign childhood experiences that may produce fear and shame, automobile accidents, invasive medical procedures, loud noises or birth stress?

Could it be that both are disruptive to our neurobiology?

If left unresolved, trauma can on one hand severely disable an individual’s ability to function normally, while on the other hand acts insidiously to prevent an individual from living a content and fulfilling life.

Could the affects of trauma be more pervasive then we think?

Please join Dr. Darleen Lindstrom Ph.D, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, whom has been in private practice for 26 years as we dive into the world of trauma, with hopes of bringing awareness to its affects and possible healing strategies.
