Of course, he is human and he did realize his faults at the end of the book, but his reactions to the death and suffering around him just amaze me!  He was an amazing man! Job was blameless, meaning no sin was found in him.  Therefore, we can assume that he took sin very seriously and repented immediately when he knew he was in the wrong.  He didn’t try to keep his sin under control; he got rid of it through repentance immediately!  His fear of God was great. 00:24:00Rev Wayne A LewisnoUndStay the Course! God gives Satan permission to attack Job, and he does so first through his family and possessions, and then through sickness. Then there is Job's long illness, and his three friends come. At first they are quiet and offer some counsel, but then they begin to launch into an attack on Job that takes a true theology and distorts it all out of proportion. 00:05:00Rev Wayne A LewisnoThe big picture of Job is that there was a man who was,in one sensUnderstanding Truth (Sunday Raw) JobUnderstanding Truth (Sunday Raw) Jobhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/08/understanding-truth-sunday-raw-job-1The Biblehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/08/understanding-truth-sunday-raw-job-1/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/08/understanding-truth-sunday-raw-job-1Tue, 08 May 2018 03:00:00 GMTUnderstanding Truth (Sunday Raw) JobUnderstanding Truth (Sunday Raw) Job 00:05:00Rev Wayne A LewisnoUnderstanding Truth (Sunday Raw) JobWhen Heroes Fallhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/07/when-heroes-fallThe Biblehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/07/when-heroes-fall/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/05/07/when-heroes-fallMon, 07 May 2018 19:00:00 GMTWhen Heroes FallHard times don't create heroes. But it also has two applications for those who work in positions of leadership. First, the juxtaposition of a corrupt judge with a just God implies that God’s will is at work even in a corrupt world. The judge’s job is to do justice, and by God, he will do justice by the time the widow is finished with him. Elsewhere, the Bible teaches that the civil authorities serve by God’s authorization, whether they acknowledge it or not (John 19:11; Romans 13:1; 1 Peter 2:13). So there is hope that even in the midst of systemic injustice, justice may be done. A Christian leader’s job is to work toward that hope at all times. We cannot right every wrong in the world in our lifetimes. But we must never give up hope, and never stop working for the greater good[1]in the midst of the imperfect systems where our work occurs. Legislators, for example, seldom have a choice of voting for a good bill versus a bad bill. Usually the best they can do is to vote for bills that do more good than bad. Legislators, for example, seldom have a choice of voting for a good bill versus a bad bill. Usually the best they can do is to vote for bills that do more good than bad. But they must continually look for opportunities to bring bills to a vote that do even less harm and even more good. 00:13:00Rev Wayne A LewisnoPersistent WidowIt's time to make up your mind!http://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/12/its-time-to-make-up-your-mindThe Biblehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/12/its-time-to-make-up-your-mind/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/12/its-time-to-make-up-your-mindThu, 12 Apr 2018 15:30:00 GMTIt's time to make up your mind!Joshua recites how the Lord has blessed and led Israel—Joshua and all the people covenant to choose the Lord and serve Him only—Joshua and Eleazar die—The bones of Joseph, taken from Egypt, are buried in Shechem. But they must continually look for opportunities to bring bills to a vote that do even less harm and even more good. 00:13:00Rev Wayne A LewisnoPersistent WidowHow Big is your God?http://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/11/how-big-is-your-god-1The Biblehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/11/how-big-is-your-god-1/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/waynealewis1/2018/04/11/how-big-is-your-god-1Wed, 11 Apr 2018 18:30:00 GMTHow Big is your God?Source unknown   What would have happened had Moses tried to figure out what was needed to accomplish God's command? One of the biggest arithmetical miracles in the world was required in the desert.  Moses led the people of Israel into the desert....Now what was he going to do with them? They had to be fed, and feeding 3-1/2 million people required a lot of food. According to the U. S. Army's Quartermaster General, Moses needed 1500 tons of food a day, filling two freight trains, each a mile long. Besides, you must remember, they were cooking the food (not to mention for keeping warm, and if anyone tells you it doesn't get cold in the desert don't believe them!). Just for cooking this took 4000 tons of firewood and a few more freight trains, each a mile long and this is only for one day!!! They were for forty YEARS in transit!!!  Let's not forget about water, shall we? If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes (no bathing?!), it took 11,000,000 gallons EACH DAY&md;enough to fill a train of tanker cars 1800 miles long.  And another thing! They had to get across the red sea in one night. Now if they went on a narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles long and require 35 days and nights to complete the crossing. So to get it over in one night there had to be a space in the Red Sea 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5,000 abreast. Think about this; every time they camped at the end of the day, a camp ground the size of Rhode Island was required, or 750 square miles.  Do you think that Moses sat down and figured out the logistics of what God told him to do before he set out from Egypt? I doubt it. He had faith that God would take care of everything.
