Dr. June talks about how we can lean upon our own smarts & intellect versus trusting in God. Sometimes when God tells us what to do it does not make sense. We can allow our intellect to get in the way and prevent us from honoring God.

Idol #32 – Forgive us Lord for being puffed up with pride in our human intellect in our philosophies and science. Forgive us as we reason within our head how you are wrong. We try to reason why your plan is not feasable, thus we do not trust you. Forgive us for thinking of ourselves too highly. forgive us for seeking after so much knowledge in vanity when we need to seek after the Creator’s wisdom for all things. Forgive us for putting KNOWLEDGE above you. Forgive us for believing science and their answers to society and the universe over you and your word. Forgive us for not seeing how big, beautiful, and vast that you are. Forgive us for making this idol above your majesty.
