In Marc’s Last Letter Home, he asked for friends and family to “pass on the love and kindness and precious gift of human life”. Since then, America’s Mighty Warriors has been fighting to support our troops, the fallen and their families and to work with like-minded organizations to do the same. We’ll chat with Debbie about the different programs America’s Mighty Warriors has for our military families and veterans and how they are inspired because of Marc’s “last letter” home. We'll even have other gold star families on that have benefited from AMW's Random Acts of Kindness. You won't want to miss this one. At the height of its involvement in 1968, 480 field directors, hospital personnel, and recreation assistants (Donut Dollies) served throughout Southeast Asia. Red Cross workers, who provided 1.9 million services to U.S. military personnel, shared the hardships and privations of war with the soldiers. Five Red Cross staff members gave their lives, and many others were injured as they helped servicemen resolve personal problems or get home when emergency leave was granted due to death or serious illness in their immediate family. One of these volunteers is Barbara Lilly.  Barbara graduated from Wayne State in Detroit  (Masters much later at Texas State San Marcos) and then on to Vietnam. She served in VN 3/68 through 3/69. During that time she was assigned to Phan Rang, Lai Khe, Cam Ranh Army and II Field Forces. She also did  TDY to Cam Ranh Air Force Base ... She had double pneumonia and it wasn't raining there so they sent her there once she got out of the hospital.   Don Marsh 303 514-7916 www.AllAboutVets.us Like us on: Facebook  01:14:00WARRIOR TALK RADIOnoVeterans, veteran,Veterans proactive in leadership, veterans benefits,VETERANS RIGHTSBridging the gap between military and civilian worldsAll About Vets: Ryan Weaverhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/warriortalkradio/2015/09/30/all-about-vets-ryan-weaverMilitaryhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/warriortalkradio/2015/09/30/all-about-vets-ryan-weaver/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/warriortalkradio/2015/09/30/all-about-vets-ryan-weaverWed, 30 Sep 2015 15:00:00 GMTAll About Vets: Ryan WeaverToday’s co-host is Ryan Weaver.  According to Ryan’s bio he is a high energy, all-American, rockin’, country music artist who proudly served as an active duty soldier in the US Army and is now pursuing his love of writing and performing for his fans across the U.S. These days Ryan's efforts are dedicated to The Journey Home Project.  Their Mission is to assist not-for-profit causes that provide veterans with rehabilitation, reintegration and opportunities as they transition to civilian life. National POW/MIA Recognition Day will be observed on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015. This annual event honors our missing service members and their families, and highlights the government’s commitment to account for them. America’s POW/MIAs should be honored and recognized, rather than memorialized, with the focus on continuing commitment to account as fully as possible for those still missing. Not only will we be talking about Recognition Day but our co-host will be Guy Gruters, Vietnam POW. Guy Dennis Gruters was a United States Air Force officer and fighter pilot best known for his survival for over five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. He was one of the five hundred and ninety-one surviving POWs of all military services released in 1973 for return to the United States during Operation Homecoming. Gruters was shot down for the second time on December 20, 1967. He and fellow pilot, Colonel Robert R. Craner were captured and imprisoned in the H?a Lò Prison (Hanoi Hilton) among other camps. Upon their initial incarceration, Gruters and Craner cared for Lance Sijan before Sijan succumbed to wounds and torture in January 1968. Gruters spent 5 years and 3 months as a prisoner of war before his release in 1973. These ladies are doing fabulous things with HBOT in the VA Beach, VA area. Sarah Stoltman started her career as a commercial diver and dive medic back in 2007. After doing offshore construction for a year and a half in the Gulf of Louisiana, she decided that was not what she wanted to do but had an interest in what else she could do with the hyperbaric chamber. She found a clinic near by and started working for world renown Dr. Paul Harch and got to be involved with the first pilot study for HBOT and TBI/PTSD. After seeing the results she became hooked and became a certified hyperbaric technician and safety director. Since then she has been involved in the research and hospital aspect of hyperbaric oxygen, as well as starting a clinic from scratch and now co owns Hampton Roads Hyperbaric Therapy. She has treated over three thousand patients and had a strong relationship with several clinics around the country. Her next goal is to get a mobile chamber so she can treat veterans in different cities of Virginia. Hampton Roads Hyperbaric Therapy opened in January of 2014. The clinic was purchased by Sarah Stoltman and Cara Mae Melton Jan 2015. HRHBOT treats neurological injuries as well as chronic pain, pre and post surgery and nerve damage. Sarah and Cara Mae founded Heal the Warriors, a non profit organization to help fund active military personnel, veterans, and first responders with traumatic brain injury using hyperbaric oxygen. Carmelo Rodriguez works with the Veterans Transition/vetdocseries on FB. He started to film a reality show series about the transition from military life to civilian and all the struggles that's comes with it. He is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army for about 5 years. Carmelo was medically discharged because of an injury sustained while deployed. He served as a Calvary Scout team leader, ending his career on funeral honors detail. He went through similar issues our other veterans have faced, including divorce, alcohol abuse, nightmares, unemployment, and foreclosure. Carmelo started this reality show series because he wanted our vets to know that they are not alone, as well as, allowing our communities to see and understand what vets are really going through. If done properly, he believes his show will not only bring the problems to light but will also bring a solution to fix them. His over all goal is to bring this show to a mainstream network because we are a huge community and I want the rest of America to see that all of our veterans are not "crazy" or "homeless". Some of our guys just need more help then others. I want to identify who we are, what we are doing and how we are helping each other. When his mother told him to keep a journal of bootcamp, he finally listened to her. A few years later, Devil Dog Diary was born. A day-by-day journal of how the DIs turn wayward Americans into US servicemembers. Years later he wrote a picture book of my 12 month tour in Afghanistan.  Sr. Airman Brian Kolfage endured a life-changing event that would have sent someone of lesser spirit into a downward spiral. But for this former SF Airman turned Architect life is about looking forward to what you can do, not what you cannot. One of the most critical battles of the Afghan War is now revealed as never before. Lions of Kandahar is an inside account from the unique perspective of an active-duty U.S. Army Special Forces commander, an unparalled warrior with multiple deployments to the theater who has only recently returned from combat there. Southern Afghanistan was slipping away. That was clear to then-Captain Rusty Bradley as he began his third tour of duty there in 2006. The Taliban and their allies were infiltrating everywhere, poised to reclaim Kandahar Province, their strategically vital onetime capital. To stop them, the NATO coalition launched Operation Medusa, the largest offensive in its history. The battlefield was the Panjwayi Valley, a densely packed warren of walled compounds that doubled neatly as enemy bunkers, lush orchards, and towering marijuana stands, all laced with treacherous irrigation ditches. A mass exodus of civilians heralded the carnage to come. Dispatched as a diversionary force in support of the main coalition attack, Bradley’s Special Forces A-team and two others, along with their longtime Afghan Army allies, watched from across the valley as the NATO force was quickly engulfed in a vicious counterattack. Key to relieving it and calling in effective air strikes was possession of a modest patch of high ground called Sperwan Ghar. Bradley’s small detachment assaulted the hill and, in the midst of a savage and unforgettable firefight, soon learned they were facing nearly a thousand seasoned fighters—from whom they seized an impossible victory. That social division has expressed itself by the lack both of public and institutional support for the former servicemembers expected by returning combatants of most other conflicts.  It is time we break that stereotype.... It is time we WELCOME our HEROES HOME...  29 March 2014 is the national Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day, but we are going to be HONORING our WARRIORS EARLY!!  Please call in and help us WELCOME HOME our VIETNAM VETERANS - 646-595-3504 02:01:00WARRIOR TALK RADIOnomilitary,Military Resources, military life,Veterans, veteranWARRIOR TALK with GI Jenn is very proud to welcome our VIETNAM VETERANS!  In this special 2 hour episode, we will discuss the war, our WARRIORS' experiences, tr
