A unique journey and transformation, I welcome my Special Guest Devin Scott to share his trials, tribulations and his amazing transformation into Athleticism.

Bio -

Devin Scott is a Canadian Author, Martial Artist, Combat Instructor, Parkour athlete and Coach. He is the founder and creator of the Ansatsudo style of combat arts.

Born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Devin’s childhood was anything but normal. Devin grew up in extreme poverty without a father and his mother moved around constantly. Devin was always a very angry kid. As such his mother put him in anything she could get funding for. Channelling his energy into creative pursuits like art, music, poetry, and energy releases like Survival Camps, Various Sports, Military Cadets, and Martial Arts. He was a natural athlete and artist, quickly outpacing other students in the schools he attended, but often prone to getting in trouble and eventually expelled.

Devin began his exposure to martial training at a young age learning from his grandfather Ross Scott in Ottawa, a life long JuiJitsu practitioner and instructor. He later joined the Canadian military cadet program in 1998 at the age of 14 and continued training in self-defence and hand to hand combat, as well as marksmanship. After leaving the Cadet program he began formal training in Shotokan Karate. At 19 Devin moved to Ottawa and began working for the Takahashi family, cleaning their famous Dojo in exchange for lessons. Masao and his Wife June and Phil Takahashi had a tremendous impact on him and it was the guidance of Masao during this time that instilled him with the belief that he could one day have his own Martial Arts School.

Devin opened the Movement School and Budokujin Dojo in March 2018. He founded Ansatsudo and published a book outlining the martial philosophy, techniques, and fundamental principals of Ansatsudo in July 2020.
