Hi Everyone today my topic of discussion will be my special guest Dr. Brian Kinnaird's Book "Parallel Universe" Dr. Brian Kinnaird is an internationally known police author, trainer, and educator. As a practitioner, Dr. Kinnaird began his career as a commissioned law enforcement officer, serving as deputy sheriff in Ellis County, Kansas. He was as a tactical team operator, field training officer and guest instructor at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center where he taught use of force and defensive tactics. Following active police duty, Dr. Kinnaird has enjoyed a career as a book publisher, author, trainer and university professor where he teaches courses in criminal justice and social psychology. As a writer, Brian has published several books and articles for peer-reviewed journals and trade publications. He is currently a columnist for Psychology Today where he writes about personal heroism and is completing a chapter contribution for a "Psychology Of" book series on the worldwide Twilight Saga phenomenon. Dr. Kinnaird’s most recent book is Parallel Universe: A Theatre for Heroism—Cops and Superheroes. The book is for general audiences who like cop stories, pop culture superheroes and the psychology and philosophy of personal heroism.
