Twisted South Radio welcomes Country AND Western Texas legend James Hand in the first hour in support of his new album, "Mighty Lonesome Man". During the second hour we welcome back to the show Twisted South family member, Brother Dege Legg, whose music is featured on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's new feature film "Django Unchained" coming out Christmas Day 2012.

Texas music legend, James "Slim" Hand's Mighty Lonesome Man contains timeless music that will please the yearning ear of today, while transporting you back to the days of hayrides, drive-in movies and huddling around the radio listening to the Grand Ole Opry. Said to be one of the best kept secrets in Country music, James Hand is one of the most authentic singer/songwriters heralded by his peers of today, with a gift for prose that transcends time. Returning with another fistful of enduring heart breakers, as well as a couple of fun ditties for sipping and dancing this James Hand album is sure to please.

Brother Dege ("deej") (aka Dege Legg) is one of the best-kept secrets in the Deep South. A musician, writer and Southern enigma, Dege is the haunted face of 21st century Delta blues. Like the possessed offspring of Faulkner and Son House, he plays slide guitar in the age-old tradition of the blues greats, yet manages to breathe new life into this revered Delta idiom.
