Psalm 105 verse 17-19 (KJV) reads ...
17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
In the book of Genesis, we are told that Joseph was hated by his brothers, sold into slavery, lied upon by his master's wife, and sent to prison. In the natural, his life looked like it was spiralling downwards. In the spiritual, he was in the perfect will of God, being tested and tried by God's word. He passed the test and God delivered him.
How was Joseph able to withstand his trials and resist temptation?
