Bearing the cross to get the crown

How many of us are willing to bear the cross so that they can receive the crown from the Lord?

Our crown speaks of our reward. Many, many Christians are glorying in their Christianity, but are not being mindful that they can be robbed of their reward because of spiritual laziness, complacency, or compromise. The church at Philadelphia in the book of Revelation was commended for their faithfulness in enduring trials and hardship for the Lord. But they were warned to bear their cross and hold on tightly to their faith that no one take their crown.
