When we talk about elections, the one voting block that makes or breaks the election is the minority vote. Right now, as the Democratic Primary Races are in fill swing, each of the candidates are looking to capitalize on getting minority voters to the polls and getting those votes for them. There is a push for minority voters in the Republican primary, but in practice, minoriy voters lean towards the Democratic party and because of this, cementing those voters and motivating them to come to the primary polls first, then to the election polls in November, is what makes candidates successful and gets them into office. Tonight, join Katara, Nikia and Dan and we discuss the policies of the Democratic Primary candidates and their policies the attempt to make them appealing to minority voters. Then, we'll discuss what we feel are winning strategies and what candidates we feel will motivate minority voters to head to the polls for them. In this episode, we'll discuss both racial and social minorities - gender minorities (i.e. women) we will reserve for another show.
