Born with a visible “disability,” Paul will share stories and insights about how he overcame life’s challenges.  It wasn’t always easy but it was possible and that’s what kept him going. Paul’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that disability is a state of mind and not a diagnosis. Choosing to accept what others tell us, giving in to adversity and the inability to adapt and grow from life’s challenges are at the root of disability. When faced with difficult circumstances we always have two options: sit and cry about it or stand up and do something with your life. The sooner we can ignore the negative influences in our lives then the sooner we can begin to succeed. It’s all about belief.   “Always believe” has become a mantra of mine. Paul carries these two words with him everywhere he goes- literally. Without belief we are nothing. We must believe in ourselves. We must believe that we all possess the personal power to succeed in life.  Above all else, we must believe in the journey. The journey is where we mature and discover our true selves. Accepting external judgments only keeps us from exceeding our potential. We must stay focused on the task at hand. To a large extent we must be stubborn. We need to do whatever is possible in order to keep us positive and believing in the dream. It is possible! It may be difficult, but you can do it. Have no regrets, go after it, and have faith in the journey. Paul guarantees you will be better for it.
