In 1970 Albert Murray proclaimed, US culture was "incontestably mulatto." In 1973, Murray wrote about "The Dynamics of Heroic Action" and in 1974, with the introduction of Scooter (the protagonist of Train Whistle Guitar), Murray gave readers the blues-based adventures of a brown-faced hero. In August 2013, Albert Murray joined the celestial ensemble. On today's Trading Fours, former Murray students: Paul Devlin, Roberta Maguire, Greg Thomas, Lauren Walsh and Jackie Modeste re-member Murray and his legacy. Join us for an historic gathering of Murrayites and "Get in on the rhythm."
