Desirable Behaviors Part 2 - Discernment (Thorn in the Flesh)

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

2Co 12:7  So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.

2Co 12:8  Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.

2Pe_3:16  as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

1Jn 4:1  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Eph 4:14  so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

Heb_5:14  But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

1Th 5:21  but test everything; hold fast what is good.
