  • MOST IMPORTANT: No matter how hard a verse or subject is to understand, even when it may be unsettling to you as some verses in the Old Testament have been known to be, always, give God the benefit of the doubt – always!  Give it time, make sure you understand the context, ask God for guidance, but know that it is true and righteous.
  • It is also important to understand that no bible translation is perfect.  This includes probably one of the most popular translations, the KJV, BUT in my opinion, the KJV does the best job conveying the vast majority of God's message in "proper" context AND its word for word translations are very important.   Some newer translations tend to translate using the translators basic understanding instead of using the word for word translation.  As we discussed earlier, if the basic understanding is incorrect, then you can never truly understand the author's message.
  • Also, THE KJV translation has support of the Strong's Concordance which was made with the KJV in mind.  This established infrastructure is very valuable in helping with proper word study.  This is not to say there are not other translations out there that may be better.  For example, some in the Messianic and Hebrew roots communities prefer other versions.  Whatever your choice, just know that all versions need to be double checked and must all be consistent with the entire body of scriptures.
