Your logic and reason is biased and influenced by everything except you! All the answers you seek are already implanted in your subconscious, and the only thing you must do is listen! Your internal GPS, or “emotional guidance system” as Oprah calls it, will always lead you down the right path! Stop second guessing yourself! Go with what your heart and soul is telling you to do… Even though it may seem crazy at times, trust and believe that it will never steer you wrong! Hindsight is 20/20; think about all the wrong decisions you’ve made in your life. Now think about all the right ones…. Neil Richardson said the boys are 15 and 17 years old and that he was trying to help. He said he's known them for about four years. He said he knows the 15-year-old better and has brought him clothes, food and taken him to court. "It was like I was knocked out, but I wasn't knocked out," Richardson said. "I couldn't be knocked out because I had to move." Richardson knows the 15-year-old’s mother and was driving the teenagers to meet her at church on the city’s west side so they could play basketball. From Arizona, to New York, to California and Florida, demonstrators closed up their businesses and took to the streets decrying the Trump administration's stance on immigration.  Demonstrators took to the streets in many cities around the country with many staying home from work and school Thursday to demonstrate how important they are to America's economy, and many businesses closed in solidarity, in a nationwide protest called a Day Without Immigrants. Police later took one subject into custody, who they believe is the gunman. Police and fire rescue crews responded to the scene of the shooting, at a block party along the 700 block of Foster Road, near Foster Park, just east of Interstate 95, at around 6:30 p.m. “We were here having a great time. Everybody enjoying themselves, everybody was dancing,” said area resident Greg Clark. However, the good time came to an abrupt halt after, neighbors said, two people got into an argument. One onlooker said the altercation spiraled into gun violence. “They said a guy pulled out a gun and shot him twice,” he said. The movie spoke to me on a variety of levels but what stuck out to me the most was the father-son relationship in the movie. In many ways, it reflected my own relationship with my father and reinforced what I did not want to repeat with my son.  Washington plays Troy Maxson, a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh. After having his own dreams of baseball greatness dashed by the MLB, he becomes bitter and cold and carries the grudge into his later years in life. Maxson's son played by Jovan Adepo has the opportunity to realize something greater in sports with a visit by a recruiter but Washington remains staunchly opposed to the idea. The tension between father and son is so thick in one scene played over and over in trailers, the son hesitantly asks why doesn't his father like him. Prosecutors will reportedly recommend that Howard serve 300 hours of community service. How prosecutors came to the conclusion that the crime was not of a sexual nature is baffling. According to court documents, the incident occurred in the male locker room of Dietrich High School last October. 18-year-old John R.K. Howard, 17-year-old Tanner Ward, and a third student, age 16, are accused of luring the victim, who suffers “mental disorders including learning disabilities,” over to them then restraining him as they “physically forced a coat hanger into the plaintiff’s rectum,".  Howard then proceeded to kick the coat hanger over and over and over again while it was inside the boy. The unnamed staff member who was reportedly employed as a tutor by Baltimore Curriculum Project, a City Springs Elementary School charter operator, told police that he was attempting to remove the student from class. After every police shooting that has been reported, one common denominator seems to stick out of the murky waters of politics and that is the training that police have received.  From coast to coast city governments have rallied behind their "boys in blue" after "accidental or justified" shootings. The mainstream media has been efficiently quick to report back-stories of officers involved, heralding their accomplishments in their respective departments and length of time "serving their communities". Not until the officer has been thrown under the bus by scandal does the media highlight low and questionable points in an officer's career.  Most pervasive and seemingly the quickest go to scapegoat for the "spike" in police shootings is all of a sudden a lack in training of police officers. When an unarmed civilian ends up dead at the hands of the police, it's due to a lack of training. When Charles Kinsey, the North Miami mental health therapist, was shot by police while tending to an individual with mental disabilities, it is because the officer who pulled the trigger did not receive enough training in hearing someone say that they are not armed. The little tiff between  them is over who gets to pick up the city garbage per The Washington Post. Mayor Weaver decided not to renew the city's contract with Republic Services, instead choosing the more economical Rizzo Environmental Services. Rizzo's bid for the trash pick-up was a whopping $2 million less than Republic Services. The council had previously vetoed her suggestion by a vote of 8-1. She overrode the veto but the council demanded more time to research the new trash company, Rizzo. In a political stalemate, the decision went before the court to decide who has final word.  First the water, now the trash.  In the meantime residents have spent day one without trash pick up in the dark and seething the best interests of the collective are being undermined by the best interests of the few. The men were supposed to meet at a flagpole located at Devon Avenue and Sheridan Road that meet at the edge of Rogers Park and Edgewater on Saturday at 8 p.m. The meet was meant to develop “meaningful friendships” and hear from their fearless leader who believes it is every man’s right to impress himself on a female if it’s off public grounds. “I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds,” he wrote on his blog a year ago. Valizadeh also considers himself an expert on picking up women and provides advice to his followers on how to lure in the enemy. White participants in the study were more likely to view a toy as a weapon if it was associated with black boys, reports The Daily Mail.  Those who participated in the study were less likely to view a toy as a weapon if it were associated with a white boy. Seeing the face of a black boy was enough for the white students in the study to misidentify the toy as a weapon. Lead researcher, Dr. Andrew Todd, said this study shows how people who don’t view themselves as racist can still react with unconscious bias. “Our findings suggest that, although young children are typically viewed as harmless and innocent, seeing faces of five-year-old Black boys appears to trigger thoughts of guns and violence,” Dr Todd said. “One of the most pernicious stereotypes of Black Americans, particularly black men, is that they are hostile and violent,” he explained. “So pervasive are these threat-related associations that they can shape even low-level aspects of social cognition.” The white college students were shown images of black five-year-olds and white five-year-olds. Then they were shown a second image which they were told to identify as quickly as possible. Participants recognized guns quicker after seeing images of black boys. The man, who wasn’t wearing pants, was watching the movie on his cellphone, said police. The driver, 58, wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected through the sunroof. A state police spokesman said it’s the strangest incident he ever encountered. “There’s so much technology out there a lot of people are more paying attention to what they’re doing other than driving their car,” said Lt. Mike Shaw of the Michigan State Police. The accident occurred Sunday at 3:30 a.m. as the car was traveling south on the Lodge ramp to Interstate 75 in Detroit, said police. The driver lost control of the 1996 Toyota and it rolled over. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
