Throughout history, non-citizens have served in significant numbers and roles in the U.S. armed services, going back all the way to the Revolutionary War. Today's non-citizen soldiers, seamen, and airmen continue to fill a necessary role in helping to maintain our military force requirements. In return for their sacrifices, it's essential to live up to the nation's obligations to those who have volunteered to serve in the defense of the country. Up front, the recruitment of qualified immigrants involves offering a path to citizenship or legal residency status, as well as providing those veterans with additional deportation protections. Recently there have been reports of veterans being deported by ICE without checking their status. Major General Mari K. Eder, former Army Deputy Chief of Public Affairs and now national spokesperson for OurCitizenshipCounts.org will join me to discuss it. Josh Bernstein, Amazon TV Host of The Josh Bernstein Show, and the national spokesman for AMAC will join me to discuss E. Jean Carroll, the Democratic Debate, and any other topics that pop up. Don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day! All of this and more as time allows. Listen live, join the chatroom, be a part of the show.
