Next year, the U.S. Census Bureau is planning to launch its first-ever field test of a 2020 census form that includes the controversial citizenship question added by the Trump administration. The bureau wants to know how that question may affect responses to the upcoming national headcount. Justin A. Torres, a DC-based attorney at Schaerr|Jaffe llp, and a member of The Federalist Society who has represented parties in high-stakes civil and criminal matters in the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeal, and state supreme courts, will join me to discuss me the citizenship question. Sandy Hanna grew up in Saigon, South Vietnam and has been telling her story about that experience all of her life. She will join me to talk about her memoir, The Ignorance of Bliss: An American Kid in Saigon, recounting her experiences growing up in Vietnam as a military BRAT living with her father, a U.S. Colonel, in Saigon from 1960 – 1962. Don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day! All of this and more as time allows. Listen live, join the chatroom, be a part of the show.
