I was warned. Back in 2007, when producers first approached me on the idea of having a reality show that focused on our rescue efforts. They explained that things would get REALLY different once we came out on TV. Nah....I didn't believe them. We were just going to be some little reality show on little ole Animal Planet for a couple of years and then it would be over. Easy peasy....NOT!
Eleven years later we are still here and the insanity that goes along with being on TV, airing in over 200 countries can really change a person's life. But it's still the unanswered question of whether or not, we've been blessed or cursed. If only people could remember that we have been working this rescue since 1993 and that we are not "celebrities". It is all about the dogs for us....but apparently not everyone feels this way. *sigh*
Listen in as I talk about the pro's and con's (no, not THOSE cons..hahaha) of being in the spotlight and sometimes wishing it was more of a flashlight :)
