This is when she started to read again, with her main interest being urban fiction.  It was not only that she could relate to it, she had lived it. Shelli began to take time out to write, something she hadn’t done since she was in grade school.  She used portions of her life, along with the lives of her closest friends.  She combined them, and then added the fire, to create exceptional stories.   “I want to write books that even the most challenged reader can enjoy.” She laughs. “I want to mentor new and upcoming ambitious authors.
