Our guests this morning are Amanda Hunter, Veronica Torres and Amadeus Pirrotta from Good World Power of Peace, aka GWPOP.

GWPOP is a non-pro?t Peace Mission focused on building the Power of Peace in young people from all walks of life. Amanda Hunter of Hermosa Beach had this idea in 2015 and began bringing young people together in small tents in open spaces to talk with each other.

Amadeus Pirrotta is a local, artist that paints, works with wood and writes lyrics. He is also Amanda’s PA for the upcoming GWPOP event.

Veronica Torrez is a local musician/singer/songwriter, in addition to being a yoga instructor.  She’s the front woman of the V Torres Band which just played at the BeachLife Festival two weeks ago to much acclaim.

The GWPOP peace talks center around family life, health (mental, physical and spiritual), education, sports, music, art, technology, social media, relationships (commitment and accountability) and government (what are our bill of rights?).

The talks will be recorded and shared on the GWPOP You Tube Channel that is already up and has talks posted from last year’s event.

This morning, we’re going to learn about the Good World Power of Peace event taking place on Saturday, May 18 at the Hermosa Beach Pier.
