Our guests this morning are Maria Madrigal and Adrianne Calbreath from SEA Lab in Redondo Beach.

Maria Madrigal has worked at the SEA Lab, a program of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps since September 1999 after graduating from Loyola Marymount University. After serving two years as an AmeriCorps Member, she became a SEA Lab staff member and established the volunteer program. In 2002, Maria took over all aspects of the education program. In 2005, she earned her Master of Science degree in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University and received the Informal Teaching Excellence Award from QuickSCience Ocean Leadership Awards.

Adrianne Calbreath is the Public Programs Supervisor at The SEA Lab.  A resident of El Segundo, she loves the South Bay and hopes to inspire an appreciation for the environment and marine sciences throughout the community by hosting fun and educational events at The SEA Lab.

SEA Lab has recently developed several new programs for the public, including the Nature Art Series and Badge Series, and this morning, we’re going to learn about all the very cool stuff they offer the community.
