Our guest this morning is Dency Nelson.

A lifelong environmentalist, Dency Nelson began that mission on April 22, 1970, organizing his high school’s teach-in on Ecology for the First Earth Day.  Since then, he has been an advocate and practitioner of all things sustainable for a healthy planet.  His Hermosa Beach home was built in 1988, taking advantage of passive solar practices and energy efficiency.  The first Hermosa Beach resident to put Photovoltaic Solar on his roof in 1999, he bought his first electric car in 2002 and is a founding member of Plug In America. Dency remains an active member of the community advocating for a carbon neutral planet and is the Founding Chairman of the Hermosa Beach Green Building Committee.

This morning, we’re going to discuss the pros and cons of Fire Departments going county or staying local.
