His interest in becoming the next Tom Brokaw – or perhaps anchor of “Weekend Update” on Saturday Night Live – inspired him to chase after a college education. After earning a degree in communications from Bethany College, Rik worked for Simon & Schuster in Columbus, OH. He joined a nationally touring comedy troupe “Midwest Comedy Tool & Die [MCTD] in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he decided to jump head first into stand-up comedy. He now has over twenty years of headlining experience across the United States and abroad. With the countless hours onstage, Rik has evolved into a master story teller. His emphasis on storytelling paved the way towards his speaking career. Just like in comedy, Rik keeps the pace of his keynote programs up using stories, facts, current events, visuals and crowd participation to make the points relevant to each group. Aside from his keynotes, Rik continues to deliver his stand-up routines for any group seeking 100% clean comedy. He teaches comedy writing workshops across the country and online through his “School of Laughs”. Rik spends his time off stage writing songs – many of which are aired daily on SiriusXM radio’s LaughUSA and Blue Collar Radio channels. He’s appeared in his own episode of the award winning BANANAS COMEDY SHOW which features the nation’s top “clean” comedians. He also was featured on CMT’s “20 Greatest Redneck Moments” and was a writer and performer on “The Henry Cho Comedy Show” on Great American Country. Rik is a proud father of two and happy husband at home in Nashville, TN. 01:00:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoRik Roberts,Hilarious,Savage & Starbuck,Interview,FunnySavage & Starbuck talk with the brilliantly funny Rik Roberts! The Savage & Starbuck Third Anniversary Showhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2016/05/12/the-savage-starbuck-third-anniversary-showComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2016/05/12/the-savage-starbuck-third-anniversary-show/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2016/05/12/the-savage-starbuck-third-anniversary-showThu, 12 May 2016 02:00:00 GMTThe Savage & Starbuck Third Anniversary ShowGuest host Joel West turns the tables on Savage & Starbuck and interviews THEM! His stories of “life” are hilarious, relevant to everyone, and true, his outlook on life, liberty and the pursuit of a plane ride without a screaming kid will leave you coming back for more. His passion for comedy and laughter has had audiences in stitches from DC to San Francisco and every place in between. After studying philosophy in college and having no luck finding a job as a “philosopher” he quickly realized that he was like a cheap wine, he was getting bitter with age, but regardless of the age of his audiences they all unite in one chant, ”we love Mike!” Feel the energy as Mike takes the stage and walks you up and down the “mean” streets of his very funny life. Mike has made his mark in various festivals and comedy contests including the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, Carolines Comedy Final Four, a laugh-off of NYC’s TOP 64 comedians and the “Stand Up 360” NY Comedy Festival. It was at that age he realized he wanted to make people laugh!  Luis Rivera, or as the comedy world and his old childhood buddies know him, Comedylou! This native born Puerto Rican fell in love with stand up comedy at an early age and has been entertaining audiences with his down to earth and often hilarious look at life as a "white" latino, since he hit the stage running by winning a huge contest held every year in his hometown of Philadelphia PA, earning him the title of Phillys Funniest Comedian of 2009! His comedy is drawn from his experiences as a minority growing up in the often rough and rugged areas of Philly and from his outrageous takes on life within a Puerto Rican family. In 2011 Having had what Luis calls "a divine encounter" this comedian gave his life and his heart to Jesus Christ and walked away from  the secular comedy world to use his God given talent for making people laugh and to help expand the kingdom of God. A full time memeber of The Christian Comedy Tour, Luis can be seen and heard making audiences roll with laughter throughtout many of the churches in Central Florida. This comedian is a must see and one who will definitely not make you afraid of sitting in the front row or even make you have to leave your children at home for fear of the "language". After his stint in Las Vegas, Johnny moved to Los Angeles to further pursue music. However, after a trip to The Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard Johnny fell in love with comedy. At The Comedy Store he got to learn stand-up along side his peers Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Robin Williams. In 2005, Dylan won the Stanley Drama award for playwriting. He is a thrice-published author of fiction for the Young Adult market with one of his books, A Tale of a Hero and The Song of Her Sword finding a place in the curriculum at several public schools in the U.S., earning him a yearly influx of poorly written fan letters and e-mails to which Mr. Brody diligently replies.  In early 2007, Dylan Brody's Thinking Allowed, brought long form humor and insight, literate and literary, to a broad based audience. The show, the first of its kind ever in the venue, enjoyed a successful six month run on the main stage at the Hollywood Improv.  Dylan has worked in venues fall over the world, sharing the stage with some of the comedy world’s biggest stars. He has appeared at M.I.T., at Sarah Lawrence College’s vast Reisinger Concert Hall and served as Northfield Mount Hermon School’s first ever Artist in Residence.  01:01:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoStoryteller,Dylan Brody,Funny,Interview,Savage & StarbuckJoin in the conversation with the purveyor of fine words and phrases, Dylan Brody! An Hour With Dennis Tooleyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/11/05/an-hour-with-dennis-tooleyComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/11/05/an-hour-with-dennis-tooley/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/11/05/an-hour-with-dennis-tooleyThu, 05 Nov 2015 03:00:00 GMTAn Hour With Dennis TooleyDennis was voted “America’s Funniest Comedian” by his Mom and Dad. Two old people cannot be wrong! Raised in a minister’s home, it is from this grounded and chaotic life history that Dennis has developed his comedic edge and sensibility to make him a rare find at churches, comedy clubs and corporate performances. He bases his humor on these experiences and never misses an opportunity to laugh at himself, and audiences appreciate Dennis’ quick wit and relaxed style. Once you get to know Dennis, you will realize that his brain (if there is actually one in there) works different than most people. There is one thing for sure. Dennis loves to have fun and he loves to help people laugh. His clean comedy is a refreshing breath of air in a day where “Blue” comedy is the norm. Laughing is one of the great joys that Dennis believes God has given us and he wants to share the blessing as often as he can. Dennis’ comedy program, “Laughing Your Way Though Life”, helps people see what a great sense of humor God has and wants us to have as well. If you are looking for clean comedy then Dennis is your man. He is perfect for Churches, Retreats, Conferences, or Corporate Events. He retorts on social, political, economic and personal matters like a grasshopper would question the meaning of reality beyond the cornfield. But don't expect to see it coming. His delivery is simple-minded to one goal only, to get you to laugh. "My words are my ammo. My attitude is my weapon," says Rick. A former writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Rick is very creative, using unique and unconventional ideas in his act. Using his Spanish and Texas accents like a worm to a fish, he catches the audience off guard. His misuse of the English language and questioning nature make an audience laugh hysterically - he leaves 'em mentally and physically exhausted. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Rick moved to California right after high school. He attended Nosotros, an organization created by Ricardo Montalban to improve the Latin roles in the movie industry. There he studied acting under Bruce Glover. After moving to Northern California, he was bitten by the comedy bug and hasn't been able to shake it. Self taught, and countless times onstage, Rick sharpened his comedic skills. He works clean, because it's a challenge, and so his mother can attend his shows.   01:01:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoRick Pulido, hilarious, comedian, interview,Savage & StarbuckSavage & Starbuck talk with the hilarious Rick PulidoAn Hour With Dobie Maxwellhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/22/an-hour-with-dobie-maxwellComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/22/an-hour-with-dobie-maxwell/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/22/an-hour-with-dobie-maxwellThu, 22 Oct 2015 02:00:00 GMTAn Hour With Dobie MaxwellDobie Maxwell is one of the top touring comedians in North America. His live show is a whirlwind of words, a virtual verbal vortex. Every time he is on stage, Dobie tests the stamina of the audience. His slick ranting style has earned him a loyal and growing fan base, and his knack for saying what a lot of people think has kept him constantly booked from coast to coast. Dobie works very hard at his craft and has spent his whole life learning it. Originally from Milwaukee, Dobie has been on the road since 1985. He has “paid his dues” and continues to perfect his craft by performing as much as possible. “I love being onstage”, Dobie says. “Not many people I know can say they love to go to work every day, but I sure do. I live for it”. Bizarre luck and horrendous timing have followed Dobie since his birth. His life continues to be a struggle to overcome obstacles most others never have to worry about. “I don’t know what it is, but I just haven’t been able to get myself in the right place at the right time”, he laments. It’s very frustrating for him, but it sure has made audiencesall over laugh like crazy. We all love to hear that somebody ELSE is doing WORSE, and Dobie is that guy. In and out of morning radio, Dobie has now totally focused on comedy. “I was fired in radio five times in four time zones”, he says. “I think that’s just about enough. At least in comedy if I’m going to work for a clueless idiot, that idiot is going to be ME. Plus, comedy’s hours are better”. Dobie’s also the exclusive teacher for comedy classes at Zanies in Chicago and he has developed a comedy “how-to” instruction series that has sold nationwide. 01:01:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoComedian,Dobie Maxwell,Funny,Savage & Starbuck,InterviewDobie Maxwell is a whirlwind of words, a virtual verbal vortex. An Hour With Teresa Roberts Loganhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/15/an-hour-with-teresa-roberts-loganComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/15/an-hour-with-teresa-roberts-logan/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/10/15/an-hour-with-teresa-roberts-loganThu, 15 Oct 2015 02:00:00 GMTAn Hour With Teresa Roberts LoganThe Laughing Redhead is Teresa Roberts Logan. She's made a living with humor for several decades, on page and on stage. Teresa writes and draws humor for publication, for standup comedy, for storytelling, for cartoons . . . as well as spooky stuff, and provides content for publishing, animation, books, and product. As a professional artist and illustrator, she has done thousands of paintings and drawings, kabillions (math!) of cartoons and jokes for products such as animations, cocktail napkins, partyware, tissues, and greeting cards. She was nominated for a Reuben Award by the National Cartoonists Society for her greeting cards. Currently she's working on a graphic novel, HAINT BLUE, (an autobiographical supernatural story), some horror short stories, and a web comic, FOG OF WORRY. Books which contain her funny stuff (cartoons and columns): “The Older I Get, The Less I Care” (Andrews McMeel Publishing), “Laughing Out Loud” (Hallmark Gift Books), “Humor for a Sister’s Heart” (Howard Publishing), “Mug of Woe,” “All Woe Great and Small,” “Woe of Dating,” (just released) “Wreck the Halls,” (Mug of Woe Publishing). Teresa has done a lot of standup comedy and storytelling, through such venues as: HBO, Comedy Channel, A&E, Catch A Rising Star, Gotham Comedy Club, The Metropolitan Room NYC, Zanies, and Comedy Works . . . and was an opening act for Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Nealon, Dana Carvey, Drew Carey, and Paula Poundstone, as well as many other famous and not–so-famous funny people. "Rich Jeni called me 'the Meryl Streep of comedy' and I thought that was so cool that he loved my dialects and accents so much. Let’s be honest, he looks like Dr. Phil's heavier brother.  Yet, he’s all of these things. He also doesn't look like he would have an amazingly beautiful wife which he's been happily married to for over 20 years, but that's true too!  Marty's comedy is rooted in his life experiences, which include antics with his wife, children, and golden doodles, as well as the occasional sports story. (But keep in mind, when Marty played football, he wasn't a real player, he was just the kicker!) Plus, Marty is a stand-up comedian who has quickly garnered national recognition after becoming the winner of the 2012 Clean Comedy Challenge. Since that time, you may have seen Marty opening for Saturday Night Live’s Dennis Miller (if you were at that one show, that one night), Tim Hawkins, Pauly Shore, and Last Comic Standing Winners, Jon Reep and John Heffron. Marty also was a featured performer recently at the Lifeway Main Event along side Dr. Tony Evans, The Kendrick Brothers, All-Pro Place-Kicker David Akers, and Coach Tommy Bowden. Marty stays busy at live stand-up shows throughout North America and has performed in venues from the 3 thousand seat Durham Performing Arts Center, all the way to Los Angeles’ Flappers Comedy Club. Marty has been a featured performer on Tim Hawkins’ Rockshow Comedy Tour and has performed for hundreds of churches across America and Canada. Early on, he functioned primarily as keyboard player and support vocalist for various original and cover bands, but soon decided it was more important to focus on continued artistic growth than to navigate the internal politics of band membership. He started acquiring recording gear, learning the guitar, and going ever deeper with the crafts of arrangement and production. In line with Keith's passion for the continual study of the creative process in all forms, he has since branched out into improv comedy (incorporating copious amounts of improvised music), computer art, programming in C++ for generative art and signal processing, puppetry and puppet making, and video editing. Still a studio hermit, his long term goal is to make the bulk of his work available as a "box set" type multimedia package, as well as have a chunk of that collection visually interpreted as video and theatre. When not immersed in all this complicated stuff, he is happy to drink a beer or two and play a few old songs on an acoustic guitar at your backyard fire. 00:59:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoKeith Handy,Interview,Musician,Theme song,Joie SavageMusician Keith Handy rocks the Savage & Starbuck studioAn Hour With Daren Streblowhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/23/an-hour-with-daren-streblowComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/23/an-hour-with-daren-streblow/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/23/an-hour-with-daren-streblowThu, 23 Jul 2015 02:00:00 GMTAn Hour With Daren StreblowDaren Streblow’s unique style of observational stand-up comedy entertains hundreds-of-thousands of people throughout the United States and around the world. Daren headlines churches, fundraisers, corporate functions, and colleges all over North America. He’s a “humor opportunist” who is always looking for the comical side of life and how people live it. With an offbeat style that has earned him the title “The King of Uncool,” Daren’s demeanor carries an audience along at an easy pace, and often take people by surprise with the intensity of their own laughter. Born in Ely, Minnesota, Daren grew up with a robust imagination. He loved superheroes, which often got him into trouble. He would pin a large “S” on his chest, wrap a dish-towel around his neck, and jump into moving traffic to stop the villainous drivers. Fortunately for him, it always worked. He also found amusement in shooting arrows at neighbor’s houses and occasionally lighting campfires in their basements. He confesses that his mother “wasn’t at her emotional best during those years.” Early in his comedy career, Daren met comedian Brad Stine who became an instrumental influence on the young performer’s development. Brad encouraged Daren to get involved in open-mic nights at comedy clubs. For 4 years Daren drove 2 1/2 hours to Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, performed a 3 to 7 minute set, and drove back home. He says those years were his comedy education and if you can learn to make people laugh with clean comedy in an open-mic environment, it will work anywhere. Daren also performs the syndicated “Daren Streblow Comedy Show” providing a weekly dose of classy comedy to the United States and overseas. The show can be heard in over 70 markets — a number that continues to grow at a rapid pace. 01:00:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoFunny,Daren Streblow,Comedian,Classy,InterviewSavage & Starbuck talk with the incredible Daren Streblow! An Hour With James Moorer and Jordan Margolishttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/16/an-hour-with-james-moorer-and-jordan-margolisComedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/16/an-hour-with-james-moorer-and-jordan-margolis/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/07/16/an-hour-with-james-moorer-and-jordan-margolisThu, 16 Jul 2015 02:00:00 GMTAn Hour With James Moorer and Jordan MargolisWhat's better than talking with a former guest of the show who captivated and enthralled our audience? Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. James Moorer started his career and had written and produced his first original stage play while still in elementary school, a feat largely unheard of. He was a published poet by the age of 18, and in the New Voices in American Poetry in 1980. Acting goes hand in hand with James’ writing and led him to lend his voice for commercials, videos, and music. He's currently developing a number of shows and has several television projects optioned. Jordan Margolis comes to the world of comedy from the world of lawyers and now....he's known as an AUTHOR/SCREENWRITER/PLAYWRIGHT/POET/PERFORMANCE ARTIST/SPEAKER/PRODUCER/SLOPPY HANDWRITER. His comedy style is very laid back and comfortable. On stage you would think that he is in his living room talking to a bunch of his friends. Derrick is not the ordinary cookie-cutter comedian. He has skillfully combined business with ministry by making sure that God's ministry is his only business. It's not about fortune or fame, it's strictly about the God he serves.  When you see Derrick you will seldom find him without his wife, Rose, 2 sons, Malachi and Elijah, and 4 daughters, Deana, Brooklyn, Chloe and Samantha. Whether it's a church event, fundraiser, street fair, concert, or dinner, if you see Derrick, you get the whole clan. "This is a family ministry, I want my children to see daddy ministering the good news of Jesus Christ. If I was a preacher, people wouldn't bat an eye when they see my clan but because I am a comedian people feel as if I need to leave my family home. Not so. Ministry is Ministry. If I were to make you shout or I make you laugh, my family, especially my children, need to see that ministry comes in many forms. I want to instill in them that ministry is for all who want and need it." Derrick's also the Founder and President of Victorious Production, a theatre ministry that produces original plays throughout the year. 00:30:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoDerrick Watson,Christian,Clean Comedy,Christian Comedy,MinistryA father of six, Derrick Watson is a family man, an educator, and a good time all balled up into one package. The prize money was $500, which was nearly 5 months rent for the "efficiency" closet Smiley was living in at the time. Though he had never stepped on a stage, and the only prior laughs he had gotten were due to his colossal leprechaun ears, he went for the gold. When he arrived, his only competition was a grown man wearing an oversized sombrero with no act... so... he won the money and the tender hearts of his fellow students. The rest is history. Since that incredibly average performance, Roberto shortened his name to "Bob" and started a caffeine-induced tour spreading laughter and gaiety to the masses. As a novice jokester, Smiley honed his talents as the merch-managing MC for bands like Newsboys, Third Day, and Mercy Me. This exposure, along with the fact that his act had the word "booger" in it three times, led to a swarm of goatee'd youth leaders begging Smiley to come entertain their sugar-high kid herds. He was forced to match their manic energy and soon developed a machine gun approach to comedy. Sixteen years later, Bob is now one of the nation's most in-demand and hilarious clean comedians. And he absolutely loves his job, no matter how many times his father challenges its legitimacy as a career choice... 00:30:00The Savage and Starbuck ShownoBob Smiley,Hilarious,Comedian,Clean,FunnyMany moons ago - before the invention of Ritalin or the Internet - a young, broke college student named Roberto Antonio Smiley signed up for a stand-up competitA Conversation With Peppi Garretthttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/04/30/a-conversation-with-peppi-garrett-2Comedyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/04/30/a-conversation-with-peppi-garrett-2/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesavageandstarbuckshow/2015/04/30/a-conversation-with-peppi-garrett-2Thu, 30 Apr 2015 03:00:00 GMTA Conversation With Peppi GarrettComedian Just Peppi grew up at a mission rehab for drug addicts and alcoholics. Dr. Laura Hayden is a practicing physical therapist, touring comedian and speaker. Laura’s stand-up career started at the front of the classroom while she earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College. Her ability to highlight the humorous side of medicine led her classmates to nominate her to give their graduation commencement speech. To this day the faculty at Mount Saint Mary’s College still talk about that “infamous” commencement speech. Laura credits this as her first stand up performance. The impact of Laura’s humor on her patients and classmates and her personal struggle with caretaker burnout led Laura to research the correlation of laughter on overall health—especially how it affects those charged with taking care of the sick and injured.  Laura’s personal journey and research on the healing aspect of laughter led her to pursue her PhD in Physical Therapy from Boston University. The emphasis of her PhD was burnout and therapeutic laugher. Caregiver burnout is a serious issue in the medical industry and as a caregiver herself she understood how difficult it was to stay sane and positive when dealing with the stress. She found that laughter truly is the best medicine for patients, their loved ones, and the medical professionals working the front lines. Today Laura lends her humorous take on the absurd, bizarre and rare moments that make living and healing such a great part of the human experience. Part of her mission to serve others, educate and entertain  with kindness and humor, Laura crafts one-of-a-kind speeches and uplifting presentations that helps people cut loose and find the funny side of any situation. Her comedic debut was as "Brownie, the Christian Clownie" for Pizza Hut’s Kid’s Night.  Although Roxanne consented to do it, she admits it was under duress. However, as soon as she put on the costume and started interacting with the children as well as the adults, she realized she absolutely loved it. Roxanne/Miss Clareese started getting more and more invitations to adult affairs. So, she would do humor that was geared more for an adult audience. However, she was still "Brownie." Then, one day, a good friend from church was talking with her and joking around with her voice.  Right then she turned to Roxanne and said, "You know who you are? You are Miss Clareese." That was all Roxanne David needed to hear. It was like this huge light came on. From that point on, she has been praising the Lord as "Miss Clareese." She gives her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, all the Praise, Glory and Honor for every opportunity that He so graciously gives to her to share His awesome Word.  Miss Clareese has traveled the globe sharing the Gospel through comedy. As she is fond of saying, "Every time I look in the mirror, I am just simply amazed at what the Lord can do with leftovers." Roxanne/Miss Clareese has an Associates Degree in Theological and Evangelical Studies from the District of Columbia Bible Institute. Miss Clareese has led workshops on Gospel Comedy at the Greater Washington Christian Education Convention and is currently the President / Founder of The National Livin’ On Laughter Gospel Comedy Association. "I think I needed an escape and fell heavily into this magical world of imagination and cartoons. I was a big comic book reader and began drawing and copying my favorite super heroes. I went on to starting to create my own characters at an early age and started creating my own comic strips. I continued through grammar and high school as the cartoonist for the school newspaper. In my teens I started having my own comic strips published in local newspapers. I went on to college at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and studied cartooning with Harvey Kurtzman who is the creator of Mad Magazine. From there I have continued freelancing in newspapers, book covers and advertisements." He is also a musician. "I started playing drums and singing at fourteen. Like most, I played in bands as a teen at high school dances and parties. Later I was in a original band playing in the NYC club circuit. At one point, we were playing the circuit that Cyndi Lauper, Madonna and Bon Jovi were as they were all coming up." Most recently, Richard has created an animated show called The Grimps. "I started developing the thought about making the story something magical and fun for kids. I came up with the idea about these minstrels that lived 500 years ago. They were wonderful musicians and local celebrities. The evil wizard (Spectar) was jealous of them and cursed and banished them for eternity in the Forest of Dingle. Until 500 years later, their friend and wizard, who was also cursed, named magic Alex finds a reverse spell that turns them back to humans. But only from sunset to sunrise. So now they can resurface as this pop rock group called The Grimps. The other part of the inspiration was to be able to present The Grimps to the public as a legitimate rock n roll band by creating original music." 00:30:00The Savage and Starbuck Shownointerview, funny, ideas, entertainment, comic booksAt an early age, Richard Sirgiovanni knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. "I figured they'd at least boo me off stage. Worst case scenario, they'd throw stuff at me." As it turned out, there was no booing or throwing. And since that fateful maiden voyage, John has made lots of people laugh from coast to coast. On stage, he's energetic and contagiously enthusiastic about numerous topics including: Electronic cigarettes, Snuggies, automatic flushing toilets and the proper age to stop chewing your shoe in church. Born and raised in the heart of fly-over country, John is committed to "comedy that won't leave a filthy residue". There's nothing in his act that you wouldn't want to hear your children repeat. (In fact, if your children repeat anything he says, send him a video copy of it...he'd love to see it!) "People didn't invent laughter. It was given to us by someone who knew we'd enjoy it. Every show, my goal is to hurt people. Seriously. I want people's jaws to ache. I want their sides to cramp up. I want them to experience dizziness from oxygen deprivation. When they are in pain, I've done my job."
