On this week's radio show my guest is Radhanath Swami, who will be sharing stories and insights from his book, The Journey Within: Exploring The Path Of Bhakti. Born Richard Slavin in Chicago, in his teens he came to confront a deep sense of alienation from suburban Chicago life and the civil injustices of 60's. At the age of 19, he traveled to Europe and felt a calling to search for God in India.
At the age of 31 hew took the monastic vows of a Vaishnava sanyassin and became known as Radhanath Swami.
Although he hasn't had a bank account in 40 years and sleeps on the floor every night for insight on shifting our consciousness to solve the world's problems, top institutions look to him for insight - Harvard, MIT, The London School of Economics, Google, Apple, Starbucks, IBM are just a few.
