His death paid the price for sin-that is for those that recognize their need for him! He was betrayed by his treasurer into the hands of his enemies. He was arrested, taken to the apartment of the Jerusalem Temple’s High Priest, turned over to the Roman Governor, who in turn had him executed by crucifixion. Had he not been the Son of God, His betrayal, suffering, and execution would have been a grave miscarriage of justice! However, His death was needed to pay the sin debt humanity owed to God the Father Alight and to reverse the curse placed put upon the human race by our first parents, Adam and Eve! When he is seen as one choice amongst many, it exposes a person to the Devil’s snare. “What snare?” You might ask. Well people look for deliverance from everyone from the Hitlers, Maos, Lenins, Stalins, Communists, Democrats, Republicans and Socialists of this world. And then let’s not leave out our local political leaders and “community” spokes persons. Well, here’s a shot of truth! I’m old enough to have remembered Jim Jones and how he played scads of church people into thinking he was God.  One of the toughest battles I have fought during my 41 year ministry, is that of trying to get people to understand that if you don’t know who God is, that God of the Bible that is, you really don’t know who you are. If you don’t know who you are, you will accept the label people place on you! That label could be “fool,”  “jack ass,” “stupid,” “Super H**d,” “W***e,” etc. Without a form understanding of the God of the Bible, a person is open to lose everything, that includes one’s health, money, reputation, all because they were not equated with the God of the Bible. Note! I said, “God of the Bible!   I am so serious about this that my members will tell you that I will not do anything connected with ministry, i.e., weddings (6 months of structured premarital counseling), infant dedication, baptism, etc., without ne being satisfied that all parties involved KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! Having said that, let’s roll! Biblically speaking, is there any other God EXCEPT the God of the Bible?
