About Chai Lifeline:

Chai Lifeline is an international support network for families battling childhood illness. What started out as a small summer camp for children with cancer has become a huge organization that provides emotional, social and financial support to these children and their families. Chai Lifeline offers year-round programming and the staff and volunteers never stop helping. Chai Lifeline provides meals, both in the hospitals and at home, big brothers/sisters for seriously ill children, family weekend retreats, trips, support groups, bereavement support, parties, financial guidance, after school help for siblings… the list goes on and on. One of the most spectacular aspects of the organization is Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, where kids can go to a sleep away camp, which is essentially a hospital in disguise. Kids can get their treatments and feel like kids again, while parents get a much-needed break.
