Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss the latest in Hurricane Dorian as the storm approaches the Bahamas with Catagory 5 winds. Dorian is expected to ravish the Southeastern United States on Tuesday causing huge evacuations, reminiscent of Hurricane Katrina the destroyed New Orleans in 2006. President Trump cancelled a trip to Poland to remain stateside to lead all efforts in dealing with the Hurricane. Is this a mandate problem and could we stop such weather events in the future by significantly reducing carbon emissions? James Comey made his way into the news again as the Department of Justice says he violated FBI standards by leaking sensitive information to the press about the now debunked Trump-Russia conclusion story. However, Comey faces no legal repercussions. President Trump turned to Twitter severely criticized the decision. Should Comey and possibly others face charges? Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden is again under fire for another gaffe, this time involving an Afghanistan War veteran. 3 separate statements made by the former Vice-president were proven to be not so. This latest incident drew criticism from The Washington Post and MSNBC heavyweight Chris Matthews. Is Joe Biden competent enough to hold the job of President of the United States? Last afternoon yet another shooting occurred in Midland Texas after a White man in his thirties opened fire on police officers after a routine traffic stop. Is it time for a mental evaluation to be added to every gun purchase? Please join the discussion at 10:00 AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential!
