We have the privilege of interviewing Ms. Shar-day Campbell  about NDEAM  and her advocacy for people with disabilities.   We will also discuss Mayor Annise Parker's Kicks Off  of the 3rd Annual Disability Awareness Month with local elected officials and community organizations.

In an effort to raise awareness about disability issues and promote positive perceptions about the diverse contributions and abilities of America's workers with disabilities, the City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods/Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and community partners will host the 3rd Annual Disability Awareness Month Celebration on Friday, October 7, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It will be held at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center Auditorium, 1475 W. Gray, Houston, Texas 77019.

Join us as we interview her, Tammie Lang Campbell,and Karl Hearnes (an award recipient.)
