HEAVENLY VISITATIONS

“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;” (Matt. 13:41)

“Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.” (Acts 7:53)

“Behold I say unto you, Nay; for it is by faith that miracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and all is vain.” (Moroni 7:37; see also Moroni 10:14)

“Upon you my fellow servants, in the name of Messiah I confer the Priesthood of Aaron, which holds the keys of the ministering of angels,…” (D. & C. 13:1)

“The power and authority of the higher, or Melchizedek Priesthood, is to hold the keys of all the spiritual blessings of the church–To have the privilege of receiving the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, to have the heavens opened unto them, to commune with the general assembly and church of the Firstborn, and to enjoy the communion and presence of God the Father, and Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.” (D. & C. 107:18-19)

But

Today ….

Visitations of angels have gradually and almost completely disappeared. In spite of more temples in the Church today, and many more times the number of people who go through the temples, heavenly visitations have almost vanished.
