The new season of HealthCare Consumerism Radio gets underway this morning as hosts Andrew Dietz and Doug Field welcome special guests from ECFC and Acclaris. Topics on today's show will include the “Cadillac” tax, account-based plans and more, with an underlying focus on an industry outlook for the year ahead.

The first guest is Bill Sweetnam, the legislative and technical director for ECFC, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and expanding employee benefit programs on a tax-advantaged basis. In this interview, Bill will discuss being a part of the ECFC for the past six months and the significant strides the organization is poised to make in advancing health care consumerism in 2016. A 30-year industry veteran, Bill will also discuss the work underway, the repercussions of the “Cadillac” tax and the ongoing initiative of the ECFC to repeal it.

The second guest on the show is Seth Ravine, the chief revenue officer for Acclaris, a Willis Towers Watson company. With a new year now underway, some things still don’t change. The two core components that are needed to drive effective health care initiatives will remain the same: long-term engagement and an integrated experience. However, there will be changes in the year ahead to make those components a reality. In this interview, Seth will discuss his five industry predictions for a successful new year.
