Robert Appel: secrets of the ancient mythological Tartaria empire

Robert Appel talks about the  Ancient people of "Tartary" or "Tartaria" a vast region spanning from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus eastwards to Siberia and the Central Asia. It was populated by Mongol and Turkic peoples known as Tatars and was often perceived as a "wild east" by Europeans. Tonight Robert looks at a time when this vast nation had technological powers and was an advanced civilization long before the Europeans arrived.
