Joe and Tom are joined by Columbia University Business School alum T.J. Winfrey to discuss his journey in the sports partnership world. As a Detroit native, T.J. has come full circle from working with Nike, Courtside Ventures, and the MLS by returning to his hometown as the Chief of Partnerships for Detroit City FC, a professional soccer team with a long history of community involvement and partnerships. Having worked in soccer at the highest levels, T.J. discusses how the lessons he learned in the past have guided him in his new role to secure long term growth and new media opportunities. Together, the group covers community engagement, the team's role in social justice initiatives, and building the beautiful game in the city of Detroit.
