One out of five adults will be spending the holidays feeling alone or being alone. For too many people, it’s a time of loneliness instead of feeling jolly and bright. Some people live far from family and miss seeing their loved ones this time of year; others dread going to holiday parties and celebrations without a partner and end up staying home. It’s also common for people to feel emotional distance from the people they’re with even if they’re in a room full of people. Connection is an everyday event and people tend to feel the effects of disconnection especially around this time. Many people long for closer connections with friends, or wish for a supportive romantic relationship, and find themselves feeling isolated during the holidays. Join me on The Charmaine Show on 11/27 at 8 a.m.as I discuss with my guest how to make it through the holidays when loneliness creeps in down the chimney!
