Talking to your young children about bullying, being safe with strangers or dealing with prejudice is not an easy topic for anyone to discuss.  When lawyer Frederick Alimonte (AlimonteBooks.com) searched for books on these challenging topics he couldn't find what he was looking for so began writing his own books for his children to learn.

Inside Out deals with bullying but is written as a fantasy. Sally Simpson, a middle-school “Queen Bee” who seemingly has everything, delights in bullying a quiet girl in her class.  One morning, Sally awakens and finds herself physically transformed – she now wears her “inner beauty” on the "outside".  Frightened by her now-hideous appearance, she is transported by a bus to her school, Inside Out, where she sees her friends who have also been transformed.  She is thus forced to see where true beauty lies and discovers that in fact, the girl who was the target of all her bullying is actually the most beautiful of all.
