When Amber Housey was a teacher, she was always trying to find ways to teach difficult concepts to her students. Teaching empathy, kindness and compassion can be abstract concepts for children to learn. Amber discovered the children could see themselves and easily understand difficult concepts through engaging stories of adventure through another person’s point of view.  Hence, the birth of Flip Side Stories.

She is an Amazon Bestseller, winner of the Young Voices Award, the Mom’s Choice Award, and won book of the year by Creative Child Magazine.

Flip Side Stories teaches about the homeless, kindness to animals, losing something, giving, writing to soldiers and self-perception, bullying, and much more.  Each story inspires children to love the learning process and unlock their own creativity.

The Flipsiders are a World Family who lives on the Flip Side.  They appreciate different points of view. try to walk in someone else's shoes to understand them better.  They love that everyone is so different in their appearances, their cultures & rituals, their limitations and uniquenesse's.  They are open to new experiences, new friends and new emotions.
