Rising from a life of poverty and adversity to one of abundance, Katana spent 20 years as a senior financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).

Katana Abbott left her $100 million investment management and financial planning practice to become the founder and vision coach of Smart Women’s Coaching™, a global online coaching, consulting, leadership and membership resource for women entrepreneurs and women in business.

In 2007, Katana retired at the age of 48 in the top 1 percent of money managers nationally, selling her financial planning practice for more than $1 million after creating systems that allowed her business to run without her. Katana had created a Millionaire Lifestyle of her dreams, which allowed her to pursue her passion to share her secrets with other women through Smart Women’s Coaching.

Today, she teaches midlife women how to reinvent their lives, attain powerful new financial skills, grow wealth and start or grow new businesses.  Joyfully working from her beautiful lakefront home office in Michigan, Katana spends time with her daughters and husband, and lives her coaching philosophy daily. She currently is at work on her book, Secrets from a Midlife Millionaire™: How to Create a Millionaire Lifestyle While Following Your Passion.
