Rev. Raphael Warnock On "The Divided Mind of the Black Church"

In his new book, The Divided Mind of the Black Church, Rev. Raphael G. Warnock, Ph.D., Senior Pastor of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the spiritual home of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., discusses how a church formed in the quest for Black personhood and freedom is now challenged by its own struggle between personal piety and social protest, a masculinist Black theology that has long stifled Black women's voices, and the modern forces of white evangelicalism, biblical fundamentalism, and the prosperity gospel.  One of this today's foremost public theologians, with fresh eyes, Rev.
